EMA was originally established as EMA Records, the independent record label founded by producer, artist, and entrepreneur Mack H.D. Through music, EMA became known for creativity, bold visual direction, and a commitment to building something authentic. With every album, EP, and major release came more than just music. Every project had its own identity, complete with original artwork that reflected the story behind the release. Rather than letting that artwork live only on streaming platforms, Mack began bringing it to life on hoodies and T-shirts, creating limited apparel inspired by each album. What started as artist merchandise quickly became something more. In the beginning, there wasn't an online store or a clothing brand.

There was simply a collection of original artwork, a handful of hoodies and T-shirts, and a belief that people would connect with them. Mack began selling the pieces one at a time to friends, coworkers, and local supporters. Every order was personally packaged, and many were hand-delivered by Mack himself, driving across town to drop them off at customers' homes or workplaces. There were no warehouses or large production runs—just genuine conversations, word of mouth, local support, and a passion for creating something people were proud to wear.

EMA Clothing was born from that belief. Designed in New York. Inspired by the World. Built to last.
